|Photovoltaic systems; and on-grid systems and off-grid systems.
1. MAINS CONNECTED PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS (ON-GRID)
In grid-connected systems, the user's energy consumption is met by the energy produced by the photovoltaic system. In cases where consumption is higher than production, the user receives the surplus energy from the grid; on the other hand, in cases where the consumption of the user is less than the production, surplus energy is supplied to the grid.
2. INDEPENDENT PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS (OFF-GRID)
In these systems, the electrical energy produced by photovoltaic panels is stored in the batteries and provides the user energy requirement (day and night) from these batteries. The capacity of the system can be sized to meet the needs of the user during the autonomy period (the process during which no electricity is generated from the sun).
